Anselm Josef Kranebitter works between architecture and art. He studied architecture at the Vienna University of Technology and completed his studies with a theoretical thesis on "the loss of Alpine building culture". He has received various awards, including the Pfann-Ohmann Prize in 2017 and 2018. He has been working in the field of sculpture and model making as well as architectural tasks since 2016. Contributions to numerous exhibitions, including at the ARS Elektronica Center in Linz, the Vienna University of Technology, the Stadtparkforum Graz, the Bellerive Center for Architecture in Zurich and at Citygroup in New York. 2014 Founding member of the interdisciplinary association Institut für- gegen Baukultur based in Vienna, which deals with questions of building culture in a sociological-historical context. He has worked in various offices, including Atelier Peter Zumthor as modellchief. In addition to his practice, he currently teaches at the Institute dieArchitektur at the University of Art and Industrial Design in Linz and at the Vienna University of Technology, Department of Hochbau und Entwerfen.
